Getting to Abisko
Abisko is located 100 km northwest from Kiruna.
From Kiruna to Abisko you can take the train, a taxi, rent a car or take a bus. (The bus runs during skiing and hiking season when the huts along the Kings trail is open)
To get to Abisko by car you keep on driving North on E10 from Kiruna.
If you are joining one of our activitys and driving here during the day you can park your car by Abisko Guesthouse and wait there in the lobby. Choose Abisko Guesthouse as your pick-up location in your booking.
NOTE: You will first arrive at Abisko Östra, where you will find a supermarket, gas station, and most accomodations. To get to Abisko Touriststation and Abisko national park you need to stay on E10 for 2 more km.
Please note that there is no place in Abisko where you can camp with a camper, caravan or roof tent, instead choose one of the official rest areas along the E10. Bessejokka and Tornehamn are the 2 closest.
If you are a tenter, you will need to hike out into the mountains about 5 km before it is suitable to pitch your tent or you can camp at the STF Abisko Turiststation tent site.
The train stops in 2 places in Abisko, Abisko Östra and Abisko Touriststation.
