ICE CLIMBING

…your most spectacular activity above the arctic circle

Ice Climbing in Abisko

Interested in trying a challenging adventure in arctic conditions?

Then ice climbing in Abisko is the thing for you!
No previous experience is needed, the ice climbing tour with us is suitable for adventurers of all experience levels.

Ice climbing is one of the most popular activities to do in Abisko because it is one of Sweden’s best places to go  ice climbing. In and around Abisko there are a lot of different icefalls for beginners as well as experienced ice climbers. The many icefalls and the beautiful surroundings with the Abisko Mountains and the veiw  over lake Torneträsk is some of the reasons why ice climbing in Abisko is so spectacular.

After a short drive to the icefall, your guide will provide you with ice climbing equipment; alpine boots, crampons, harness, and helmet and take you through the first basic steps of climbing vertical ice and instructions on how to handle ice climbing crampons and ice axes.

Make sure you dress warm and you will get one of the best arctic experiences in your life!
